Yvon Cantave

Owner & CEO

“Looking back at the work I did with a small General Contractor while I was a young man in school, I can pinpoint those years as when I fell in love with construction. Mechanicals, including HVAC in schools, high rises and commercial systems, safety compliance, and the importance of workflow – this was when I knew I found my professional home. This work provided the real-world grounding that complemented my degrees in architecture from Brooklyn Tech High School and New York Institute of Technology.

Later, as Assistant Chief of the Department of Buildings Best Squad – NYC’s emergency response team for disaster and emergencies at all hours, I was able to draw on years of experience gained since those initial jobs in order to promote the safety of families throughout our diverse city. In these crisis situations, I called on my years of varied experience to make critical assessments in always-hazardous situations.

As a Professional Site Safety Manager, the highest priorities of my team and I are the safety of construction workers and their diverse families, the well-being of neighborhoods, and all of the industry workers who keep this vital part of our city, state, and the regional economy growing.

Safety is the foundation upon which everything around us is built. Expertise is the foundation upon which safety is built. I’m proud to bring unsurpassed expertise to you in Allied Safety Inc.”
